Walking in the Bamboo Grove of Arashiyama, Kyoto

We visited Arashiyama in September 2018. We had twice a nice walk in the bamboo grove, on a sunny and on a rainy day. The bamboos create a unique atmosphere and the ways are beautifully made to walk around.

Arashiyama (嵐山, Storm Mountain) is a district on the western outskirts of Kyoto, Japan. It also refers to the mountain across the Ōi River, which forms a backdrop to the district. Arashiyama is a nationally designated Historic Site and Place of Scenic Beauty.
The Togetsukyō is a bridge across the river. This river changes names. It is called Oigawa River in the upper course, Hozugawa River in the middle course, and Katsuragawa River in the lower course.
